Blog 8: Research and Working EQ

1. What is your working EQ?

What is the best way to have customer satisfaction for your store?

2. What is the possible answer for your working EQ?

  • having conversations with your customers, it doesn't have to be about comics as long as they felt comfortable in that environment
  • always greet them when they walk in and say "thank you for coming" when they leave
  • always be available for their questions and their needs
3. What is the most important source you have used that has helped you come up with an answer for you working EQ?

The most importance source I have had is my mentor. He knows a lot about interacting with the customers and has even showed me his little tips and tricks on what to expect from different customers and what to know. He has been doing this for a while now, and he has seen about every type of customer there is and having his tips helps out a lot.

4. Who is your mentor, or where are you mentoring, and how does it relate to your working EQ?

My mentor is Kevin from JPM Comics at Glendora. My mentorship has to do with my working EQ because it is about managing a store and there will always be customers. One of the most important things to managing a store is too be a "people person" because you will be talking to a lot of people. If you are not one, then this isn't for you. Luckily, I am good with people and I have fun talking to the customers and helping them out.
